China Resources Power Q1 2026 Net Generation Climbs 16.3%; Solar Output Up 44.7%, Wind Down 2.0%

China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited (China Resources Power) reported that total net power generation from subsidiary plants reached 60.64 million MWh in the first three months of 2026, an increase of 16.3% year on year.

Thermal facilities remained the core driver, delivering 42.83 million MWh, up 22.3% from the same period in 2025. Solar (photovoltaic) output surged 44.7% to 3.42 million MWh, while wind farms generated 14.00 million MWh, down 2.0% due to weaker wind speeds. Hydro production fell 15.7% to 0.39 million MWh.

For March 2026 alone, subsidiary plants generated 20.81 million MWh, up 16.2% year on year. Thermal generation rose 31.6% to 14.95 million MWh, solar output advanced 26.9% to 1.15 million MWh, wind generation declined 16.9% to 4.55 million MWh, and hydro slipped 3.2% to 0.15 million MWh.

Management noted that, starting from October 2025, net generation is disclosed on a grid-connected basis, including units in trial operation. The figures in this update are compiled from internal records and have not been audited.
