Thank You, Drivers! Tribute to Ride-Hailing Drivers as Shanghai and Multiple Cities Host Mid-Autumn Family Banquets

Recently, the "DiDi Driver Mid-Autumn Family Banquet" kicked off enthusiastically in Shanghai, with nearly 100 DiDi drivers and their family members gathering together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in advance. According to reports, DiDi Global Inc. launched a series of holiday driver care activities from September 15 to 30.

The "DiDi Driver Mid-Autumn Family Banquet" was held successively in 9 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, and Chongqing. In more than 50 cities including Nanjing, Wuhan, Qingdao, Suzhou, and Changsha, "16 Driver Day" Mid-Autumn welfare stations and recognition activities were carried out, honoring over 7,000 outstanding drivers. Additionally, DiDi Global Inc. distributed 600,000 Mid-Autumn mooncake gift boxes to drivers and provided 400 million yuan in subsidies to celebrate the festival together with drivers.

With high travel demand during the double holiday period, to encourage drivers to provide services and earn more through increased trips, DiDi Global Inc. will distribute over 400 million yuan in driver subsidies and launch the "More Orders, Zero Commission" reward activity. Drivers can log into the DiDi Driver App reward center to participate in various reward activities including commission-free cards, earnings acceleration cards, order completion lottery, per-order rewards, and service score bonuses. DiDi Taxi also offers benefits such as service fee waiver cards, fare advance payment cards, and pickup worry-free cards.

During peak travel periods before and during holidays, DiDi Global Inc. will pilot the collection of holiday driver service fees, charging 2, 3, or 5 yuan per order to drivers to encourage them to provide services and help alleviate difficulties in hailing rides during peak hours.

Beyond providing benefits and subsidies to drivers during holidays, DiDi Global Inc. has continuously upgraded and improved its driver rights protection mechanism. In 2023, DiDi Global Inc. launched the "Orange Care Protection Plan," which was upgraded to the "DiDi Driver Protection Plan 2.0" in 2025, enhancing multiple benefits and protections while strengthening collaborative co-creation mechanisms.

In terms of income protection, DiDi Global Inc. upgraded the "Instant Withdrawal" and "Off-Season No-Order Compensation" benefits to meet drivers' needs for more secure and stable income. In terms of care and welfare protection, the company increased investment in the "DiDi Care Public Welfare Relief" project, providing assistance and care to ride-hailing practitioners in need. In the first half of 2025, the program has cumulatively assisted over 500 driver families facing serious illness or difficulties. Regarding opinion collection and supervision mechanisms, DiDi Global Inc. continues to hold multiple DiDi Open Day driver review meetings, opening rule-making and rights construction to drivers for collaborative co-creation.
