Samsung Electronics is in discussions to invest hundreds of millions of euros into the artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI, according to a report citing anonymous individuals familiar with the matter.

One of these sources indicated that Samsung is considering a contribution of approximately €1 billion as part of this funding round.

It was also reported that EQT's European growth fund, the Scaleup Europe Fund, is expressing interest in participating in the same financing round.

The discussions are currently ongoing, and the terms remain subject to change, with no final agreement having been reached at this stage.
