On March 27, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) released its 2025 annual performance announcement on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Data on asset quality showed that, based on the five-category classification, normal loans at the end of 2025 amounted to 29,512.445 billion yuan, an increase of 2,093.845 billion yuan from the end of the previous year, accounting for 96.74% of total loans. Special-mention loans stood at 594.656 billion yuan, rising by 20.485 billion yuan, with a ratio of 1.95%, down 0.07 percentage points. Non-performing loans totaled 399.013 billion yuan, increasing by 19.555 billion yuan, while the non-performing loan ratio was 1.31%, a decrease of 0.03 percentage points.
