CLSA has released a research note highlighting BYD Company Limited's (01211) launch of a new-generation intelligent driving solution featuring the "God's Eye 5.0" system and a novel autonomous driving architecture. The report anticipates that BYD's vertically integrated business model will afford greater flexibility amidst an increasingly intense price war environment, expressing optimism regarding the visibility of its overseas and premium segment growth. The firm maintains its target price of HK$130 for the company, reiterating a "High Conviction Outperform" rating.
The note points out that among the numerous technical details disclosed by BYD, two aspects particularly surprised the market: the provision of a "safety net guarantee" for all models equipped with the "God's Eye 5.0" system, and the introduction of BYD's self-developed "Xuanji A3" chip. CLSA views this intelligent driving solution as a further demonstration of BYD's leading technological prowess and believes it will contribute to driving a sales recovery for the company in the second half of the year.
