On September 16, value investor Duan Yongping posted on the Xueqiu platform that he considers holding Apple (AAPL) equivalent to buying more, and plans to sell additional call options to use the proceeds for purchasing Pop Mart.
Duan noted that “it is not easy to hold at this price,” hinting at pressure from the current stock level. He did not disclose the number of option contracts or strike prices, nor the scale of Pop Mart purchases.
The comments drew market attention as Apple shares have seen recent volatility and Pop Mart, a pop toy company, has experienced active price movements. Duan has previously discussed his Apple investment thesis, emphasizing long-term holding.
