Since the commencement of the current buy-back on 5 August 2026, HSBC has repurchased 39.61 million shares for a total consideration of approximately US$815.00 million.

Following cancellation of the shares bought back on UK venues, HSBC’s issued ordinary share capital and total voting rights stand at 17.15 billion. A separate update will be issued once the Hong Kong-repurchased shares are cancelled.

All UK purchases were executed as “on-Exchange” market transactions under the London Stock Exchange rules, while Hong Kong transactions were treated as “on-market share buy-backs” under local regulations.
