Alibaba Donates HK$20 Million to Support Hong Kong Fire Relief Efforts

On November 26, a severe five-alarm fire broke out in Hong Kong's Tai Po district, causing significant casualties and property damage. The incident has drawn widespread concern from all sectors of society.

Alibaba Group has pledged an initial donation of HK$20 million to support fire rescue operations, transitional housing arrangements, essential supplies distribution, and psychological counseling for affected residents.

Additionally, Alibaba has activated its emergency disaster response mechanism. Cainiao, its logistics arm, is mobilizing nearby resources to deliver food, bedding, and other emergency supplies to the disaster area to assist impacted communities.

The company expressed deep condolences for the victims, extended sincere sympathies to affected families and communities, and paid tribute to all frontline rescue personnel.

Alibaba will continue monitoring relief efforts and collaborate with relevant parties to support disaster recovery. The company hopes for the safety of affected residents and a swift return to normalcy.
