Former Dongying Party Secretary Yang Guoqiang Takes Up New Leadership Role in Hainan Province

According to Hainan News Network, on September 3rd, current provincial-level leaders in Hainan collectively watched the live broadcast of the commemoration ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The broadcast footage revealed that Yang Guoqiang, former Party Secretary of Dongying City in Shandong Province, has moved south to assume a new leadership position in Hainan Province.

According to public records, Yang Guoqiang was born in January 1970. He previously served as Deputy Secretary and Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee in Yantai City. In 2005, he was appointed Mayor of Laiyang City, and in 2008, he became Party Secretary of Laiyang City.

In 2011, Yang Guoqiang was transferred to serve as Standing Committee Member and Secretary-General of Binzhou Municipal Party Committee. In January 2015, he became Standing Committee Member and Deputy Mayor of Binzhou City, and in April of the same year, he was reassigned as Deputy Secretary of Dezhou Municipal Party Committee.

Subsequently, Yang Guoqiang participated in aid work in Xinjiang, serving as General Commander of Shandong Province's Xinjiang Aid Work Command and leader of Shandong Province's ninth batch of aid cadres to Xinjiang. He later served as Deputy Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial Government, concurrently holding positions as Director of Shandong Provincial Government Affairs Bureau and Director of Shandong Provincial Government General Office.

In January 2022, Yang Guoqiang was appointed Party Secretary of Dongying City.
