An investment promotion conference for technology innovation and advanced manufacturing, hosted by Jiaxing's Xiuzhou District, was recently held in Hefei. Focusing on smart manufacturing, the low-altitude economy, and new energy industry development, representatives from local government departments, enterprises, and financial institutions gathered to jointly outline a new blueprint for collaboration between Anhui and Zhejiang in science and technology innovation.
Both Hefei and Xiuzhou are key nodes in the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, sharing connected paths in technological advancement and growing complementary industrial strengths, which presents significant potential for cooperation. Hefei serves as a core source of innovation in the western Yangtze River Delta region, boasting top-tier scientific research institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China and the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has achieved substantial results in strategic emerging industries.
Meanwhile, Xiuzhou is accelerating the development of its "33X" modern advanced manufacturing system. This involves strengthening three leading industries: photovoltaic new energy, high-end automotive components, and optoelectronic information. It also entails forward-looking deployment in future sectors like aviation smart manufacturing and artificial intelligence, aiming to form a comprehensive industrial ecosystem with complete upstream and downstream support and deep integration of industry, academia, and research. Additionally, Xiuzhou possesses advantages such as a global aviation logistics hub and a first-class business environment.
To help enterprises better understand relevant policies, a representative from the Xiuzhou branch of Jiaxing Bank provided a detailed explanation of specialized financial policies for companies investing in Jiaxing, covering aspects from project implementation and capacity expansion to technological breakthroughs.
"Hefei has technology and talent, while Xiuzhou has industry and space. Cooperation between the two places is timely," said Kang Wei, Executive Vice President of the Shushan District Youth Chamber of Commerce in Hefei. He stated that the chamber would actively build communication bridges to encourage more Hefei-based entrepreneurial and innovative teams to explore opportunities in Xiuzhou.
Entrepreneurs also expressed optimism about industrial collaboration opportunities. Anhui Eastimaging Technology Co., Ltd., a specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise, focuses on non-medium aerial imaging technology. Zhang Can, the company's Deputy General Manager, noted that leading companies in Xiuzhou, such as Lante Optics, have layouts in optoelectronics and high-end manufacturing that are highly aligned with their business. He expressed Anhui Eastimaging Technology Co., Ltd.'s willingness to act as a "bridge," facilitating more Hefei tech firms to engage with Xiuzhou.
Luo Wen, Deputy General Manager of Zhongchuang Aoxiang (Hefei) Aviation Technology Co., Ltd., identified opportunities in Xiuzhou's emerging aviation economy. He believes Xiuzhou's airspace resources and industrial supporting facilities are highly compatible with the company's "Cloud Wave Flight Paradise" IP and expressed hope for in-depth discussions to jointly promote the implementation of low-altitude cultural tourism demonstration projects.
During the open discussion session, representatives from government, enterprises, and financial institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including project implementation, policy support, and industrial chain matching.
A representative from the Xiuzhou District Investment Promotion Center stated that this conference was a proactive step in Xiuzhou's targeted investment promotion efforts along the G60 corridor. The aim is to establish a bridge for exchange and cooperation, strengthen innovation collaboration, and promote the transformation and implementation of more scientific and technological achievements in Xiuzhou.
