Incyte Corp (NASDAQ: INCY) released its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday, demonstrating robust commercial momentum. The biopharmaceutical company's revenue significantly exceeded expectations, driven by comprehensive growth across its core product portfolio and a one-time gain from the settlement of a government dispute over Opzelura rebates.

For the second quarter, Incyte reported total revenue of $1.67 billion, representing a 38% year-over-year increase. Total product net sales reached $1.49 billion, up 40% from the prior year. Net income for the quarter was $586 million, or $2.81 per diluted share. On an adjusted basis, net income was $643 million, or $3.09 per diluted share, handily surpassing analyst consensus estimates of $2.10 per share.

The quarterly results included a one-time, non-cash benefit of $246 million, stemming from a settlement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding rebate calculations for Opzelura. This resolution allowed the company to reverse previously accrued expenses related to the dispute. Excluding this benefit, total product net sales increased by 17% year-over-year.

Among core products, flagship therapy Jakafi, along with its new formulation Jakafi XR, generated quarterly sales of $817 million, a 7% increase from the same period last year. Opzelura was a standout performer, with net sales surging 173% to $450 million. Other products also contributed meaningfully, including Niktimvo at $60 million, Monjuvi at $54 million, and Zynyz at approximately $50 million, all showing solid growth.

Driven by this strong performance, Incyte raised its full-year 2026 total net sales guidance from a prior range of $4.77 billion to $4.94 billion to a new range of $5.13 billion to $5.26 billion.

On the business development and pipeline front, the company recently completed the acquisition of Vega Therapeutics for $1.25 billion, adding a Phase 3 candidate targeting von Willebrand disease to its pipeline. Concurrently, Incyte decided to discontinue development of a Phase 1 JAK2V617F inhibitor to prioritize its next-generation pipeline assets. The company ended the quarter with $4.5 billion in cash and cash equivalents, providing significant financial flexibility for future initiatives.
