In response to recent allegations that its new vehicle model copied designs from Xiaomi Corp., Chen Cui, the General Manager of SAIC's MG brand division, has addressed the issue by releasing a song titled "WO CHAO" on Weibo.

It is reported that in late June, during Chen Cui's first live stream to explain the exterior design of the new MG 07, the comment section was flooded with remarks such as "looks like a Porsche" or "copied the Xiaomi SU7." He stated during the broadcast, "We have not copied, not a single detail has been copied." However, unable to withstand the wave of online criticism, he ended the stream early.

In the song, Chen Cui states, "I admit I copied, I copied the fastback hatchback design first pioneered by the MGB GT in 1965," and adds, "After copying myself, I surpass myself. I'm copying from my own heritage, that gives me more confidence than you."

It is understood that the MG 07 will begin its pre-sale on July 29, targeting the price range of 150,000 to 200,000 yuan and positioned as an "intelligent pure-blood sports coupe for young people."
