BDV EDU INTL (01082) announced that the group expects to record a loss attributable to owners of the company of no less than approximately HK$51.65 million for the year ending June 30, 2025, compared to a loss attributable to owners of the company of approximately HK$27.56 million for the same period in 2024.

The board of directors believes the expected loss is primarily due to: (i) goodwill impairment loss of approximately HK$13.15 million for the year ending June 30, 2025; (ii) impairment loss on trade receivables and contract assets of approximately HK$22.52 million for the year ending June 30, 2025; and (iii) impairment loss on loan receivables of approximately HK$8.08 million for the year ending June 30, 2025.

Based on prudent principles and considering the slow recovery of Hong Kong's economic environment, these losses are mainly attributable to increased asset impairments.
