Covert Correction? Fidelity Life Insurance Replaces Q1 Report After Original Version Contained Over 30 Data Errors

In a rare industry move, Fidelity Life Insurance issued its solvency report for the first quarter of 2026 on April 30th, only to quietly replace it with an 'updated version' two weeks later on May 13th.

A comparison of both documents by media and industry institutions revealed systematic data errors on page 13, within the 'Liquidity Risk Monitoring Indicators' section. The original report contained over 30 core data points across 10 major monitoring categories that were incorrect. Instead of reflecting the actual operational data for Q1 2026, the initial version erroneously carried forward the historical figures from the fourth quarter of 2025.

The incorrectly replicated metrics included key risk control data such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), liquidity gap ratio, and cash flow matching ratio. Despite these errors, Fidelity Life Insurance's core solvency adequacy ratio for Q1 2026 was 93.89%, and its comprehensive solvency adequacy ratio was 152.56%, both of which remain above the regulatory minimum requirements. Additionally, the company reported insurance business revenue of approximately 4.473 billion yuan and a net profit of about 75.5366 million yuan for the quarter.
