Gaush Meditech Ltd announced a profit warning on 23 July, projecting net profit for the six months ended 30 June 2026 at RMB 13.90 million–16.70 million, sharply below the RMB 35.90 million recorded a year earlier. The guidance implies a year-on-year decline of approximately 53.5%–61.3%.
Management expects revenue to come in at RMB 541.50 million–648.70 million, versus RMB 653.10 million in the first half of 2025, representing a contraction of 0.7%–17.1%. The slide is attributed to shifts in market-demand dynamics linked to national policies and the termination of an overseas agency agreement for femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery products, which dampened distribution income.
Foreign-exchange volatility further pressured earnings. Gaush Meditech estimates FX losses will increase by RMB 7.80 million–9.80 million compared with the prior-year period.
The interim financial figures are unaudited and subject to finalisation. The company plans to release its full interim results by end-August 2026 and has advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when dealing in its shares.
