Today marks the official opening of the Hongdao Dongdayang Port, a key project in Qingdao's efforts to optimize port resources and enhance coastal tourism services. The simultaneous launch of the "Sea Bridge Crossing" route holds significant importance for promoting integrated development around Jiaozhou Bay and upgrading Qingdao's marine tourism industry. Notably, the project was completed in just 55 days from commencement to finish, setting a new benchmark for port construction efficiency in Qingdao and laying a solid foundation for its timely operation.

Located northeast of Dongdayang Pier on the northern shore of Jiaozhou Bay, the project involved dredging the harbor basin and waterway, installing floating docks, constructing steel bridge foundations, high-pressure jet grouting piles, corridors, and other auxiliary facilities. It was undertaken by CCCC First Harbor Engineering Bureau Second Company.

Facing tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and complex marine construction conditions, the project team adopted a phased, round-the-clock work schedule to ensure seamless progress. The strategy of "zero daily backlog" enabled the project to pass final acceptance on October 29.

The project excelled in multiple inspections with "zero rectifications and high efficiency." On October 21, during the handover inspection, all 14 core indicators—including steel bridge foundation structures, installation precision of floating docks, dredging quality, and supporting facilities—met design standards, earning praise for "comprehensive compliance." On October 28, the team completed digital archiving ahead of schedule, compiling 60 volumes of records covering construction logs, test reports, and acceptance documents, which were approved in one review. The final acceptance on October 29 confirmed "zero defects in quality and zero safety incidents," certifying the port's readiness for operation.

With the port now operational, the "Sea Bridge Crossing" route has also commenced, extending Qingdao's "View the City from the Sea" tourism brand to Chengyang District for the first time. This development injects new momentum into Qingdao's international shipping hub ambitions and elevates its marine tourism offerings, fostering a "land-sea coordinated" tourism model.
