Google launched a multi-party computation crypto asset custody service, planning commercial release in early 2027

Google will showcase Google Multi-Party Compute (MPC) at the inaugural Digital Assets Symposium in New York, a secure custody service for cryptographic assets and tokenized assets tailored for financial institutions such as banks. The product is currently in private preview, with multiple financial institutions already participating in testing, and its parent company Alphabet has used it to protect its digital assets on Ethereum and Solana. Google plans to launch the service commercially in early 2027, though pricing has not yet been announced.

The system shards private keys and stores them across Google Cloud, institutional proprietary hardware, and other cloud service providers. Before signing transactions, it verifies them against rules such as transfer limits, destination addresses, and multi-department approvals, supporting signature threshold schemes like 2-of-3 and 5-of-7.
