Molson Coors Beverage (TAP) stock surged 5.58% during intraday trading on Thursday, as investors cheered the brewer's better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and reaffirmed full-year guidance.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.58 per share, handily surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of $1.51, while net sales of $3.10 billion edged past the $3.08 billion forecast. The beat was driven by higher net pricing in the Americas and a favorable sales mix, which helped offset a 5.4% decline in financial volumes and ongoing cost inflation. The company also reaffirmed its annual outlook, expecting net sales to be flat versus 2025 and underlying EPS to decline 11% to 15%.

Despite the positive market reaction, the earnings report highlighted ongoing headwinds, including elevated commodity and logistics costs, a $40 million impact from Midwest Premium aluminum pricing, and lower shipment volumes across both the Americas and EMEA & APAC segments. CFO Tracey Joubert noted that cost savings initiatives partially offset these pressures, while the company continues to execute on its Horizon 2030 strategy.
