South Korea's presidential office spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that President Lee Jae-myung will preside over a closed-door meeting this week to review real estate market policies, with the government aiming to increase housing supply.
The closed-door meeting is scheduled for Friday. Earlier, on Monday, President Lee had already directed officials to expand housing supply volumes to curb rapid price increases.
Participating officials are expected to focus discussions on housing supply-related measures. According to sources, the South Korean government plans to officially unveil a comprehensive housing supply package later this week.
