Shares of the CSOP SK Hynix Daily (2x) Leveraged Product plummeted 13.26% during Monday's trading session, mirroring a sharp decline in the underlying SK hynix stock.
The drop came as South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index fell 4.7%, with major chipmakers SK hynix and Samsung Electronics both sliding more than 5%. The leveraged product, which seeks to deliver twice the daily performance of SK hynix, amplified the underlying stock's losses.
Broader market weakness was also evident in the region, with Japan's Nikkei 225 losing over 1% and semiconductor-related names such as Kioxia and SoftBank Group trading lower.
