Ghana Shifts Fuel Distribution to Spot-Based Pricing Model

Deep News
08/04

According to a report on August 3, due to heightened volatility in the international oil market, large fuel distribution companies (BDCs) in Ghana have now adopted a spot pricing model, which could result in daily price changes at the pump, replacing the previous tradition of uniform price adjustments every two weeks.

Currently, the vast majority of major fuel distributors are supplying retailers using spot prices, while other companies purchasing international oil are also using daily market rates as the trigger for price adjustments.
