Johnson Electric Reports US$ 936.00 Million Q1 FY26/27 Sales, Up 2% on Currency Tailwind; IPG Leads with 6% Growth

Johnson Electric announced that Group sales for the three months ended 30 June 2026 reached US$ 936.00 million, a 2.30% year-on-year increase from US$ 915.00 million. Favourable exchange-rate movements contributed roughly US$ 14 million to the total, representing the bulk of the reported growth.

Automotive Products Group (APG) generated US$ 778.00 million, up 1.69% versus the prior-year period. On a constant-currency basis, APG’s revenue was essentially unchanged. Regional constant-currency trends were mixed: Asia-Pacific +4%, Americas +2%, and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) −6%. Robust demand for thermal management, braking and interior applications in China offset softer sales in closure, electric driveline, engine and fuel management segments. EMEA weakness reflected muted customer demand and pricing adjustments, while the Americas recorded higher powder-metal and interior sales, tempered by lower engine, braking and transmission demand.

Industry Products Group (IPG) delivered US$ 158.00 million, advancing 5.06% in constant currency and 5.33% on a reported basis. Growth was propelled by a 32% surge in Asia-Pacific, driven by medical devices, food & beverage, liquid cooling and handheld gimbal applications. EMEA sales fell 7% amid softer demand in lawn, heating and personal-care products, partly offset by stronger ventilation and semiconductor equipment components. Americas revenue declined 5% on weaker white-goods, window and surgical demand, though lawn and ventilation products provided some support.

Management maintains a full-year outlook for mid-single-digit sales growth, supported by a pipeline of new launches across automotive, consumer and industrial markets, and expects incremental gains from emerging platforms such as distributed power generation, advanced thermal management, liquid cooling and humanoid robotics. The Board emphasised limited visibility due to ongoing macroeconomic, geopolitical and trade uncertainties.
