China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (CHINA EAST AIR) reported that its 2026 Second Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), held in Shanghai on 29 September 2026, approved the election of Yan Fei to the company’s 10th Board of Directors.

The single ordinary resolution received 15.37 billion votes in favour, reflecting 99.77% of shares represented. Votes against and abstentions accounted for 0.19% and 0.04%, respectively. No shareholders were required to abstain under Hong Kong Listing Rule 13.40, and there were no shares entitled to attend and abstain from voting in favour.

Voting participation reached 15.41 billion shares—equivalent to 69.88% of the company’s 22.09 billion issued shares (17.02 billion A shares and 5.06 billion H shares). Both on-site and online channels were offered, with A-shareholders able to vote through the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s electronic system.

Five of the eight incumbent directors, including Chairman Wang Zhiqing and four independent non-executive directors, attended the meeting. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu acted as scrutineer, performing agreed-upon procedures to verify the poll results.

With shareholder approval secured, Yan Fei formally joins the board, which now comprises nine directors, including five independent non-executive members and one employee representative.
