According to industry chain sources cited in recent reports, a Tesla-related team arrived in Ningbo on September 16 and launched a new round of production readiness audits for its robotics division on September 17. This audit cycle is reportedly oriented toward actual mass production of the Optimus robot, with purchase orders already issued to supply chain partners.

Reports indicate that Tesla conducted a similar robotics supplier audit in China back in September last year, covering traditional automotive supply chain companies including Tuopu Group, Sanhua Intelligent Controls, Zhejiang Rongtai, Xinquan Automotive Parts, and Joyson Electronics. When approached for comment, Joyson Electronics declined to respond regarding downstream customer details, citing confidentiality requirements.

Citi analysts view the audit and the anticipated capacity ramp-up as positive for Chinese Optimus suppliers, potentially reviving investor sentiment following the valuation downgrade of the robotics theme since late May. The brokerage estimates that Tesla Optimus could contribute approximately 5% to Joyson Electronics' net profit exposure by 2027.

Looking ahead, Joyson Electronics plans to unveil robotic core components and system solutions, including dexterous hands, in a concentrated rollout during 2026. Among these, the EAOS+EAPC embodied intelligence brain solution stands out as a key highlight of the company's robotics business strategy.
