JPMorgan Names Bo Wei Liu as Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific Investment Banking, Yi Zhang as Co-Head of China Investment Banking

JPMorgan Chase announced today the appointment of Bo Wei Liu as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific and Yi Zhang as Co-Head of Investment Banking for China.

Public information shows that Bo Wei Liu previously served as a member of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and played a key role in major IPO projects for numerous Chinese companies. He also holds important positions including Chairman of the Listing Review Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and member of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission's Process Review Committee. Over the past five years, as Co-Head of Investment Banking for China, Liu led his team in providing expert services for several high-profile strategic transactions within complex market conditions.

Following his promotion to Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific Investment Banking, Liu will lead JPMorgan's core client service efforts in Hong Kong and further deepen communication and cooperation with key Hong Kong regulatory bodies. Additionally, he will continue to serve as Head of Healthcare Investment Banking for Asia Pacific, driving the firm's business development in this sector.

Yi Zhang will join JPMorgan Chase as Co-Head of Investment Banking for China.

Zhang brings over twenty years of investment banking experience, with a long-term focus on the Chinese market where he has established deep and stable cooperative relationships with core clients and key stakeholders. He is widely recognized and trusted within the industry for providing innovative solutions and high-value professional advice to many leading domestic enterprises.

Prior to joining JPMorgan, Zhang worked at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for business development and coverage for clients in China's industrial sector. He holds a Master of Finance degree from Peking University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Renmin University of China.

JPMorgan stated that Zhang's extensive experience, keen market insight, and long-established foundation of mutual trust with Chinese clients will bring significant value to his new role.
