Innoscience Shares Surge in Hong Kong Trading on AI Data Center Demand Outlook

Innoscience (02577) saw its shares rise over 8% in early trading. At the time of reporting, the stock was up 8.36% to HK$80.45, with a turnover of HK$168 million.

A recent research report from Bank of America highlights that as NVIDIA's GPU platforms evolve, data center rack power consumption is expected to surge from the traditional server range of 10 to 15 kilowatts to over 1.5 megawatts by the 2029-2030 Feynman platform era—a nearly 100-fold increase. Existing power infrastructure is insufficient to meet this demand.

Bank of America estimates that the total addressable market (TAM) for analog semiconductors in AI data centers will expand from $7.9 billion in 2025 to approximately $27 billion by 2030, representing a five-year compound annual growth rate of 28%. Analog chip manufacturers are poised to be the most direct beneficiaries, while wide-bandgap semiconductor materials such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) are accelerating their shift from cyclical demand in automotive and industrial sectors toward long-term structural demand in AI data centers.

Public information indicates that Innoscience is the world's first company to achieve mass production of 8-inch silicon-based gallium nitride (GaN-on-Si) using an integrated design and manufacturing (IDM) model. Leveraging its extensive expertise and experience in gallium nitride technology, the company has successfully expanded the application boundaries of GaN from consumer electronics into three core areas: AI data centers, new energy vehicles, and robotic joint drives.
