Mainland China's A-share market opened higher and extended gains on Wednesday morning, with all three major indices rallying in early trading. A broad advance was seen across sectors and concept stocks, with AI applications, AI office tools, and stablecoin concepts witnessing explosive moves. Media and culture, alongside energy equipment, led sector gains, while liquid cooling servers, fiberglass, and electronic cloth concepts bucked the trend to the downside.

Hong Kong stocks also opened sharply higher, with both the Hang Seng Index and the Hang Seng Tech Index surging over 2% in early deals. Heavyweight tech names, including JD.com, Xiaomi, Alibaba, and Tencent, rallied broadly. In the bond market, treasury futures generally declined, while on the commodities front, most domestic commodity futures traded higher.

Core Market Performance:

Mainland China: As of writing, the Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.90%, the Shenzhen Component Index advanced 1.13%, and the ChiNext Index gained 1.55%.

Hong Kong: The Hang Seng Index rose 1.95%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 2.68%.

Bond Market: Treasury futures fluctuated lower, with the 30-year main contract down 0.03%, the 10-year contract easing 0.01%, and the 5-year and 2-year contracts flat.

Commodities: Domestic commodity futures largely rose, with palladium up over 4%, silver and platinum gaining 2%, and gold, manganese silicon, alumina, iron ore, and coking coal all up over 1%. Other gainers included coke, tin, asphalt, polysilicon, copper, rebar, soybean meal, industrial silicon, rubber, fuel oil, hot-rolled coils, eggs, the container index, aluminum, caustic soda, stainless steel, and pulp. In contrast, glass, nickel, crude oil, and lithium carbonate saw modest losses.

09:53 - The media and culture sector continued its upward momentum, with Easy-Tech, Inner Mongolia Xinhua, China Publishing, and Longban Media hitting the daily limit up. Qitiantian Technology, BlueFocus, Mango Excellent Media, and CITIC Press followed closely behind.

09:43 - The property sector reawakened in early trading, with Cinda Real Estate scoring a third consecutive daily limit, while Womai Home delivered a 13-day, six-limit performance. Shirong World, Pearl River, Zhongjiao Development, and Yukaifa also posted gains.

09:39 - The Hang Seng Index expanded its advance to 2%, led by Lenovo Group, Baidu, Li Auto, China Life Insurance, JD.com, and Xiaomi.

09:34 - Robotics concepts were active, with ASD hitting a second daily limit, while Leader Harmonious Drive, Wanxiang Qianchao, Xiangming Intelligent, and Haozhi Electromechanical moved up.

09:32 - The ChiNext Index accelerated, rising over 1%, with the Shanghai Composite adding 0.95% and the Shenzhen Component up 1.25%. Digital currency, precious metals, and semiconductor chips led the advance, with nearly 3,900 stocks trading higher across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing exchanges.

09:31 - Both the ChiNext Index and the STAR 50 Index gained over 1%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index expanded its advance to 2%.

09:26 - The Shanghai Composite opened 0.34% higher, with the ChiNext up 0.97%. Gold, power, server, and cybersecurity sectors strengthened, while short-drama gaming, agriculture, and coal saw adjustments.

09:21 - The Hang Seng Index opened 1.20% higher, with the Hang Seng Tech Index up 1.46%. Zijin Mining, Lenovo Group, CATL, Tencent Holdings, CMOC Group, Anta Sports, and Sun Hung Kai Properties led the early gains.
