Beijing's market regulator has initiated formal investigations into four online hotel and travel booking platforms over suspected legal violations, prompting a swift response from one of the implicated companies.

MEITUAN-W issued a statement confirming that its hotel and travel booking unit received official notification from the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation regarding the probe, which follows a preliminary review and is aligned with directives from the State Administration for Market Regulation.

In its announcement, the company pledged to cooperate fully with the regulatory investigation and implement all compliance requirements without delay. The statement also emphasized a commitment to working collaboratively with industry peers to foster a sustainable and well-regulated market environment.
