FIH Mobile buys back 60,000 shares; treasury stock rises to 6.81 million

FIH Mobile Limited (FIH) filed a Next Day Disclosure Return with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 6 July 2026, reporting the on-market repurchase of 60,000 ordinary shares on the same date.

The transaction, executed under the company’s shareholder mandate granted on 22 May 2026, was carried out on the Exchange at prices ranging from HKD 17.90 to HKD 18.38 per share, with a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 18.13. The total consideration amounted to HKD 1.09 million.

Following the buyback, the number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares) fell from 781.70 million to 781.64 million, a marginal reduction of 0.0077%. Treasury shares increased to 6.81 million, while the company’s total issued share count remained unchanged at 788.45 million.

To date, FIH has repurchased 1.41 million shares under its current mandate, representing approximately 0.18% of the 781.70 million shares outstanding at the time the mandate was approved. The company is authorised to repurchase up to 78.27 million shares in total. A moratorium on new share issues or sales of treasury shares remains in place until 5 August 2026, in accordance with Hong Kong listing rules.
