Luk Fook Holdings released its 2025/26 Sustainability Report, confirming a roadmap to reach carbon neutrality across own operations by FY2050 and marking a 44% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions intensity versus the FY2021 baseline.

Key environmental targets include:

• Energy – Total energy-use intensity already down 35% from the FY2021 base; target is a 20% cut by FY2030.

• Water – Total water-consumption intensity fell 26% year-on-year; continued efficiency drives are planned.

• Waste – Non-hazardous waste intensity dropped 46% year-on-year, while recycled gold and platinum accounted for 34% and 72% of total feedstock respectively.

• Packaging – Packaging-material intensity for finished products declined 34% year-on-year; a smart inventory system and material reuse underpin further reductions.

• Renewables – A 5,700 m² solar-panel expansion at the Nansha industrial park is expected to generate 1,200 MWh of clean power annually, covering about 7% of the plant’s electricity needs.

Climate analysis, based on NGFS scenarios, shows low physical and transition risks; progress is reviewed quarterly by the board-level Risk Management and Sustainability Committee.

On the social front, overall staff turnover fell to 17%, while 81% of employees received training, totalling more than 117,000 hours. Luk Fook maintained a zero work-fatality rate and recorded no material product recalls or major complaints.

Community contributions reached HK$6.32 million, up 44% year-on-year, with about 50 social-responsibility initiatives completed alongside partners.

The jeweller also highlighted responsible sourcing: 100% of key suppliers have signed the Supplier Code of Conduct, and the company continues to prioritise recycled metals, ethical diamonds and sustainable packaging.
