Datang Renewable to Elect Zhao Gang as Executive Director; Ying Xuejun Steps Down

China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Limited (Datang Renewable) has called its first Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of 2026 for 10:00 a.m. on 27 August 2026 in Beijing to vote on the appointment of Mr. Zhao Gang as an executive director.

Mr. Zhao Gang, aged 55, is currently a senior economist. His past roles within the Datang group include leadership positions at North China Electric Power, Datang International Power, and China Datang Group Capital Holding, among others. He holds a master’s degree in engineering (power system and automation) from Tsinghua University. The nomination committee and the board cited his industry experience and alignment with the Board Diversity Policy in endorsing his candidacy.

If approved, Zhao Gang’s directorship will run through the remainder of the current board term and he will be eligible for re-election. His compensation will consist of salary, allowances, benefits in kind, discretionary bonuses and pension contributions linked to his executive role; no separate director’s fee will be paid.

Concurrently, Mr. Ying Xuejun has tendered his resignation as chairman, executive director and chair of the board’s strategic committee, effective upon Zhao Gang’s appointment. Ying confirmed no disagreement with the board and no matters requiring shareholder attention.

Share transfer registration will be closed from 24 August 2026 to 27 August 2026 (both days inclusive). H-shareholders recorded on 27 August 2026 may attend and vote. Proxy forms must be submitted no later than 24 hours before the meeting.

All resolutions at the EGM will be decided by poll, with one vote per share. The board recommends shareholders vote in favour of Zhao Gang’s appointment.
