H&R Block shares surged 10.88% in after-hours trading on Tuesday, following the release of its fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter and full-year results, which topped analyst expectations, along with strong fiscal 2027 guidance and a dividend increase.

The tax preparation company reported fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings of $2.38 per share, surpassing the consensus estimate of $2.21. Quarterly revenue rose to $1.14 billion, beating the $1.12 billion estimate. For the full fiscal year, adjusted EPS from continuing operations came in at $5.31, above the $5.16 estimate, and revenue reached $3.95 billion, edging past the $3.918 billion estimate.

Looking ahead, H&R Block provided fiscal 2027 guidance that exceeded Wall Street forecasts, projecting adjusted EPS of $6.04 to $6.24 versus the $5.86 consensus, and revenue of $4.11 billion to $4.16 billion compared to the $4.05 billion estimate. The company also raised its quarterly dividend by 10% to $0.46 per share, marking the ninth consecutive annual increase.
