Nanshan Aluminium flags 72%–77% slide in H1 2026 profit; board sets 19 Aug meeting to approve results

Nanshan Aluminium International Holdings Limited expects net profit attributable to equity shareholders for the six months ended 30 June 2026 to fall sharply to between US$58.00 million and US$68.00 million, compared with US$248.00 million in the prior-year period. The guidance implies a year-on-year decline of roughly 72%–77%.

Management attributes the profit contraction chiefly to margin compression stemming from a significant drop in average product selling prices. During the first half of 2026, the Group’s alumina averaged about US$320 per ton, versus approximately US$529 per ton in the first half of 2025, while unit production costs remained broadly unchanged.

The company is finalising its unaudited interim results, scheduled for release on 19 August 2026, when the board will also consider an interim dividend. Shareholders and potential investors have been advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until the official figures are published.
