The 60-mu idle flower sea landscape upgrade project on the east side of the Yujiawu Hui Township government has made a brand-new debut, filling the gap in public leisure space in the area and becoming a great destination for strolling, family outings, and photo check-ins.
The entire flower sea is layered and lush with greenery, with patches of colorful flower fields scattered in an orderly manner. When the breeze blows, the flower branches sway, presenting a fresh and elegant view. Neat garden paths wind through the flower sea, connecting various functional areas. A yellow ring-shaped climbing net, colorful seats, heart-shaped sculptures, and cartoon painted walls are dotted throughout, with playful landscape features blending harmoniously with the natural flower sea scenery.
This renovation completely breaks the limitation of traditional landscape venues that are "only for viewing, not for playing," achieving multiple uses and compound functions in one park. The project precisely divides functional areas and creates a dedicated unpowered play area for children, fully equipped with combination slides, seesaws, bouncing clouds, and other facilities, paired with lotus-leaf-shaped shade features and robot-themed creative trash bins. Surrounded by greenery and a comfortable environment, it suits children of all ages. At the same time, a professional sports area and quiet rest spaces are also built to accommodate the fitness needs of young and middle-aged people and the leisure and wellness needs of elderly people, truly creating an all-age friendly public space.
"It was such a shame that this land was left barren before, and there was nowhere fun to go near home. The kids could only stay at home on weekends. Now after the renovation, it's completely transformed. The flower sea is right outside the door, the kids have space to run around, and we have a place to rest. The environment is beautiful and quiet!" said Ms. Li, a resident living nearby, praising the changes in the flower sea.
In addition to convenient leisure functions, the project deeply taps into the landscape value and public service value, creating multiple internet-famous check-in spots. The "Natural Dream" colorful ball art tree and heart-shaped fiberglass sculptures convey warmth through heartwarming designs; the fresh and healing 3D stereoscopic paintings have become distinctive spots for citizens to take photos and relax. The relaxed and comfortable outdoor environment meets residents' needs for short-distance leisure and closeness to nature.
Zhao Lifang, project manager and deputy director of the Yujiawu Collective Forest Farm, introduced that this renovation adheres to the core principles of revitalizing idle land and benefiting the people, without excessive hardening or redundant construction, focusing on ecological improvement, functional completion, and scene upgrading, turning idle resources into livelihood assets. "We not only want to beautify the living environment of the area and enhance its overall appearance, but also truly serve residents. This open flower sea space can meet the daily leisure needs of the public and also host cultural and creative markets, special festivals, and other mass cultural and sports activities, building a public platform for neighborly interaction and convenient services."
Today, the refreshed flower sea park has achieved a perfect transformation from "idle wasteland" to "livelihood beauty." It has not only revitalized idle land resources and optimized the ecological living environment of the area, but also filled the shortcomings of urban public services and enriched residents' spiritual and cultural life.
