Federal Reserve Chair Walsh Finalizes Divestiture of All Pledged Holdings

Government records indicate that Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Walsh has completed the sale of all financial assets he previously pledged to divest.

Walsh signed a compliance certificate for his ethics agreement, submitted to the US Office of Government Ethics (OGE) on Thursday. The document was made public on the agency's website on Saturday.

Walsh, who took office in May, had already submitted a divestiture certificate to the OGE earlier, demonstrating the sale of a majority of the assets he had committed to shedding. The latest filing reveals he has now sold off the remaining holdings covered by the agreement.

Walsh is considered one of the wealthiest officials in the history of the Federal Reserve. He had previously pledged to relinquish his interests in several investments. The underlying assets of these investments were not publicly disclosed due to confidentiality agreements, with some of those holdings valued at least $100 million.
