Following the conclusion of the National Day holiday, construction at the Qinyi Highway project site in Jiaozuo, Henan Province remains in full swing. During the holiday period, over 100 builders from the Beijing Jiangong Municipal Road & Bridge project team forewent their rest to fight on the construction frontlines, working at full capacity to sprint toward the year-end opening target. On October 10th, it was reported that the overall progress of the project's first section has exceeded 90%, with completion expected by year-end.
During the holiday period, the construction site of Qinyi Highway's first section buzzed with activity, as dozens of large equipment including transport vehicles and road rollers roared into operation. Over 100 builders battled on the frontlines, accelerating the laying of asphalt surface layers and construction of auxiliary projects including traffic safety, landscaping, and electrical-mechanical systems.
According to project manager Wang Hai, this section spans 20.8 kilometers in total length, with over 240,000 tons of asphalt already laid.
Qinyi Highway is one of five newly added Luoyang metropolitan area connectivity routes in the "Henan Province Highway Network Planning (2021-2035)" and represents one of the second batch of key construction projects under Henan Province's highway "13445" segmented plan. Since launching in 2023, the project team has overcome challenges including lengthy construction lines, numerous structures, and extreme weather conditions through scientific organization and meticulous deployment to comprehensively advance the engineering construction.
Upon completion, this project will traverse Qinyang, Wen County, Mengzhou and other areas within Jiaozuo City, dramatically improving regional transportation conditions. It will provide convenient channels for the export of distinctive agricultural products such as "iron stick yam" and "Huai rehmannia," supporting rural revitalization along the route. The project will play an important role in perfecting Henan Province's highway network and promoting coordinated regional development.
Currently, the project team is coordinating the advancement of subsequent engineering work, launching a comprehensive sprint toward the year-end opening target.
