Shares of ASMPT (HKEX: 00522) fell more than 3% during the morning trading session. At the time of writing, the stock was down 2.55% to HK$179.3, with a turnover of HK$337 million.

The decline follows an announcement from the company regarding the completion of its sale of ASMPT NEXX, Inc. The company had entered into a share purchase agreement on May 4, 2026, to sell all issued common stock of its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, ASMPT NEXX, Inc., to Applied Materials, Inc.

According to the terms of the agreement, the transaction was officially completed on June 3, 2026. Following this completion, ASMPT NEXX, Inc. is no longer a subsidiary of ASMPT, and its financial results will no longer be consolidated into the group's financial statements.
