Zhejiang Sanhua Intelligent Controls (002050) issued a clarification statement late on October 15, addressing speculative reports about the company securing large orders for robots. The company confirmed that these rumors are unfounded and stated that there are no significant matters that should have been disclosed but were not. Furthermore, the company did not participate in any media interviews on that day.

Earlier today, market speculation claimed that Zhejiang Sanhua had received a significant order from Tesla for humanoid robots, reportedly worth over 5 billion yuan. In response to this news, the company's A and H shares experienced a rapid surge in afternoon trading. Zhejiang Sanhua's A shares closed at a limit-up of 44.18 yuan per share, giving it a total market capitalization of 182.1 billion yuan. Meanwhile, its Hong Kong shares finished at 39.5 HKD per share, up 12.92%, with a total market value of 199.4 billion HKD.

According to trading data, retail investors net bought 682 million yuan today, with some institutional investors also participating, although institutional selling outpaced buying.

It is noteworthy that Zhejiang Sanhua is the "exclusive supplier" of joint actuators for Tesla's humanoid robots. Elon Musk previously announced that Tesla aims to trial production of 5,000 units of the Optimus humanoid robot in 2025, with a target of 100,000 units in 2026. This news had previously driven up related stocks, nearly doubling Zhejiang Sanhua's share price within two months. However, recent reports of delays in the mass production of the Tesla Optimus robot caused Zhejiang Sanhua’s stock to plummet close to the daily limit on October 10, followed by a significant drop on October 14.
