Hong Kong dollar interbank rates show mixed trends as one-month Hibor slips 1.327 basis points to 2.59292%

On August 13, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (Hibor) displayed divergent movements, with the one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage rates, falling by 1.327 basis points to 2.59292%.

The three-month Hibor, a key indicator of bank funding costs, held steady at 2.90000% with no change. The overnight rate edged down 1.369 basis points to 2.08393%, while the one-week Hibor dropped 10.708 basis points to 2.14810%. The two-week rate also declined, slipping 12.702 basis points to 2.24810%.

The two-month Hibor remained unchanged at 2.80000%. In longer-term maturities, the six-month Hibor inched up 0.071 basis points to 3.17750%, and the one-year rate rose 0.994 basis points to 3.50000%.
