According to an official statement released Tuesday, Amazon.com (AMZN.US) has successfully secured broadcasting rights for the Masters Tournament, marking the first time it will participate as a domestic broadcaster for this premier golf event next year. Under the agreement, Amazon Prime Video will collaborate with renowned media outlets including CBS Sports and ESPN to provide comprehensive live coverage of the tournament.

Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, stated: "Partnering with Amazon.com in this capacity represents an exciting opportunity for both the Masters Tournament and its fans. Bringing Amazon.com as a partner will further help us expand our tournament presentation formats and enhance the viewing experience, allowing more people to enjoy the event in higher quality ways."

The statement also indicated that starting from the 2026 Masters Tournament, Prime Video will add two hours of live coverage daily during the first and second rounds. For example, in 2026, the broadcasts will air on Thursday, April 9th and Friday, April 10th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern Time.

The Masters Tournament is held annually during the first full week of April at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, and is the only major championship among the four Grand Slam tournaments to be held at the same venue each year.
