On August 14, a report from the financial sector indicated that the Tianjin Financial Regulatory Authority has issued approvals for two senior executive appointments.

JD.com affiliate, Tianjin Jingdong Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., has received regulatory clearance for Wang Xu to serve as its Chief Risk Officer. Simultaneously, the authority has also approved Lu Lin to assume the role of Chief Compliance Officer at the same company.

These approvals mark a significant step in the governance structure of the consumer finance arm associated with the JD.com (NYSE: JD) ecosystem.
