Wing, a drone delivery startup owned by Alphabet, will begin offering residential delivery services in the San Francisco Bay Area in the coming months.
The company, which focuses on accelerating "last-mile" delivery, stated that the San Francisco launch is part of its nationwide expansion plan.
Wing reported that it has already completed more than 750,000 home deliveries to date in cities including Houston, Atlanta, and Dallas.
Founded in 2012, Wing was originally part of Alphabet's "moonshot factory," Google X. It began testing at Alphabet's Mountain View campus before expanding to other communities in the Bay Area.
