On July 6, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced the launch of two new indices.

The Hang Seng A-Share Shipbuilding Industry Index is designed to track the performance of Mainland China-listed companies whose business is related to the shipbuilding industry.

The Hang Seng Connect Hardware Technology Select Index aims to reflect the performance of Hong Kong-listed companies, accessible via Stock Connect, that are engaged in the development and manufacturing of specified industrial equipment, electronic equipment, other machinery and infrastructure hardware, and related components.

The new indices are calculated and disseminated in real-time at two-second intervals.
