Google stated in a blog post that Gmail's security protection measures are robust and effective, and that claims regarding major Gmail security warnings are false.

"Recent false statements have incorrectly claimed that we issued widespread warnings about major Gmail security issues to all Gmail users. This is completely false information," the company stated.
