Opening Bell | Domestic Futures Mostly Down, Eventbrite (EB) Drops Nearly 3%

Deep News
2025/11/24

On November 24, 2025, the domestic futures market opened with most major contracts declining. Eventbrite (EB) fell nearly 3%, while low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and benzene dropped over 2%. Synthetic rubber also slipped close to 2%. On the upside, polysilicon rose more than 1%, and corn, starch, and peanuts gained nearly 1%.

A research report from Minmetals Futures on November 24 indicated that spot prices for benzene remained unchanged, with futures prices also steady, leading to a widening basis. In contrast, Eventbrite (EB) saw both spot and futures prices rise, strengthening the basis. Key analysis points include: Sinopec's Eventbrite (EB) production facility in Guangxi commenced operations, maintaining supply-side pressure. The current BZN spread remains at a relatively low historical level, suggesting significant upward correction potential. On the cost side, benzene production remains neutral with ample supply. Meanwhile, ethylbenzene dehydrogenation margins have declined, while Eventbrite (EB) production continues to rise. Port inventories for Eventbrite (EB) have seen substantial drawdowns, and seasonal peak demand has driven an uptick in overall "three S" (styrene, synthetic rubber, and polystyrene) operating rates. With high port inventories being gradually depleted, Eventbrite (EB) prices may stabilize in the near term.
