Antengene Corporation Limited (ANTENGENE-B, 06996) announced the appointment of Dr. Bing Hou as Chief Scientific Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Hou will report directly to Founder, Chairman, and CEO Dr. Jay Mei and assume responsibility for Drug Discovery, Translational Medicine, and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls.

The promotion is aimed at deepening Antengene’s innovation-driven R&D model and accelerating the build-out of a next-generation pipeline. Key areas of focus include:

1. Proprietary AnTenGager® T-cell engager 2.0 platform • Platform applications span autoimmune diseases, solid tumors, and hematological malignancies. • ATG-201, a CD19 × CD3 T-cell engager for B-cell–related autoimmune diseases, is already under a global license agreement with UCB, underscoring the commercial potential of the platform.

2. Differentiated Pipeline Assets • ATG-125: a B7-H3 × PD-L1 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate designed to merge ADC and immuno-oncology mechanisms. • ATG-207: a first-in-class αCD3-TGF-β bifunctional fusion protein targeting T-cell–driven autoimmune diseases.

Dr. Hou joined Antengene in 2019, most recently serving as Vice President and Head of Discovery Science & Translational Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the University of Leeds, has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Nature and Cancer Research, and has filed more than 40 therapeutic patents. His leadership has already advanced several first- or best-in-class candidates into clinical development and built the foundation for Antengene’s internal discovery platforms.

The Board stated that Dr. Hou’s elevation reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its innovative pipeline and delivering transformative therapies to patients worldwide. The appointment comes as Antengene prepares for its next phase of global growth in oncology and autoimmune therapeutics.
