According to the latest data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, on August 20, Capital Ind Fin (00730) saw a significant change in shareholding position, with a total market value of HK$76.2351 million transferred, representing 16.34% of the company's shares. A shareholder of the company transferred 646 million shares into Everbright Securities Investment Services (Hong Kong) from Everbright Securities Investment Services (Hong Kong), while simultaneously moving the same 646 million shares out of the account at Everbright Securities Investment Services (Hong Kong) into Haitong International.
Prior to this development, Capital Ind Fin announced that its board of directors had proposed a share consolidation, whereby every 50 existing issued shares would be consolidated into 1 consolidated share. The share consolidation is subject to, among other conditions, approval by shareholders through a vote at an extraordinary general meeting before it can be implemented.
