Artificial intelligence infrastructure company Rocket One Inc (Nasdaq: RKTO), which focuses on defense, space, and intelligent edge computing, has announced a strategic collaboration with Placeve Inc., an innovator in high-efficiency AI processor hardware platforms. Rocket One has also made an initial investment in Placeve to jointly advance the construction of next-generation AI infrastructure platforms.

This partnership is designed to address the growing demand for high-efficiency, high-performance computing in the defense, space, and intelligent edge computing markets. The two parties plan to jointly evaluate Placeve's proprietary AI processor architecture, software platforms, and machine learning technologies based on the Fourier Processing Unit (FPU). These technologies are intended for application in defense, autonomous systems, commercial edge computing, and the space economy. The collaboration will encompass joint engineering programs covering AI hardware integration, software optimization, workload acceleration, improvements in energy efficiency, validation testing, and deployment pathways in commercial, defense, and orbital environments.

Robb Knie, CEO of Rocket One, stated that artificial intelligence is rapidly expanding from traditional data centers to satellites, autonomous systems, and critical infrastructure. These environments require fundamentally different computing architectures that maximize performance while minimizing power consumption and operate reliably under mission-critical conditions. He believes this partnership broadens the company's technology ecosystem, accelerates access to next-generation AI computing platforms, and further solidifies Rocket One's position at the intersection of AI, defense, and the space economy.

Placeve's photonic AI processor technology is currently being evaluated aboard the International Space Station through NASA's MISSE (Materials International Space Station Experiment) project. This provides practical operational experience for computing platforms operating in harsh environments. This collaboration also complements Rocket One's previously announced nano-magnetic and spintronic computing initiatives, as well as its patent-pending, AI-driven autonomous defense and space security platform designed to protect critical ground-based and orbital infrastructure.
