RoboSense Unveils "Genesis" Digital Architecture and Pioneering 2160-Line LiDAR Chip

On April 21, 2026, ROBOSENSE (02498) officially introduced its new "Genesis" digital architecture and two flagship chips based on this platform at a technology open day event, signaling LiDAR's entry into a new era of image-based perception. The "Genesis" architecture is a rapidly iterable SPAD-SoC chip-level solution platform designed to provide core support for the scaling and high-performance evolution of LiDAR. The Phoenix chip, developed on this architecture, is the world's first automotive-grade SPAD-SoC to monolithically integrate native 2160 lines, achieving a resolution exceeding 4 million pixels and ultra-long-range detection of up to 600 meters. It has already received automotive certification and is scheduled for mass production and vehicle integration within 2026. Simultaneously unveiled was the Peacock chip, the industry's first mass-producible 640×480 resolution all-solid-state large-array SPAD-SoC. It features an ultra-wide field of view of 180°×135° and millimeter-level accuracy, with mass production planned for the third quarter of 2026, targeting applications in vehicle blind spot detection, robotics, and spatial intelligence markets. This release signifies that core competition in LiDAR has shifted to the chip level. By adhering to the semiconductor industry's Moore's Law through digital architecture, the technology continuously enhances performance while optimizing costs, laying a foundation for widespread adoption in smart vehicles and robotics.
