A recent update from the Ministry of Civil Affairs' third-quarter regular press conference on July 30 reveals that, as of now, a nationwide program providing elderly care consumption subsidies to seniors with moderate to severe disabilities has processed a total of 10.7992 million voucher redemptions. These redemptions amounted to 6.512 billion yuan, driving 29.093 billion yuan in elderly care service spending. Approximately 2 million moderately to severely disabled seniors have benefited from this initiative.
